Pop a cork to gracious Georgian living

Enjoy a swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and tennis court in a quintessential English setting. Anyone for croquet?

Celebrate English living and feel like a Lord or Lady

Celebrate gracious English living for 20 guests in a majestic Georgian rectory in sleepy Horsington. In summer, after on-site tennis, pop a cork by the pool and toast the Somerset sun that sets behind the village church. Follow the honey bees through the 17 acres of wild meadow, lake and larch. Watch the stars twinkle from the warmth of the hot tub.

In winter, the farmhouse kitchen becomes the cradle of hearty meals, while the log fire awaits slow drinks and tall tales. Work up a thirst in the sauna. Take your brandy off to the games room to chat over the clatter of snooker balls. Enjoy 3D TV. Potter over to the village pub. Feel like a Lord or Lady. At The Grange, gracious living doesn’t end with the last rays of summer.

Pool, tennis court and gardens

Plus a hot tub and sauna

Step outside The Grange and you’ll find a heated and lit swimming pool (available May-September), hot tub, sauna, hard tennis court and croquet lawn.

There are 17 acres of grounds for you to relax in. Wild meadows, a small lake, formal gardens, bbq terrace and lawns are all available for guests to enjoy. Explore the wild meadows, stroll among the blue cedar, larch, cherry and Australian gum trees that majestically dominate the grounds, and admire the established beds that overflow with colour and fragrance during the warmth months.

The south facing elevation ensures day-long sunshine. Pull up a steamer chair and unwind.

With a large central island there’s plenty of space for all the crew to help out from the chopping to the washing! The kitchen has a feature Aga and a further electric oven with two gas hobs. The Dovecote has a small contemporary kitchen with electric oven and hob. It is possible to arrange food deliveries to be unpacked prior to your arrival.
