A chance to chillax

Kids will love the beaches, the zoo and the otter sanctuary. For grown-ups, it's a rib-ride from Torquay, a hike on the moors and the many restaurants close by. Everyone will love the caves, the festivals, the walks and the chance to chillax.

Beaches and Moors

Spend the day at the beach.

The English Riviera is ripe for exploring, and with a bracing walk along Babbacombe Downs.  You can not only take in the spectacular coastline of South Devon, but also spot seabirds, seals and even dolphins from above.

A visit to Devon would not be complete without a day at Dartmoor’s famous Becky Falls to enjoy the very best that Dartmoor has to offer.

If it’s a faster pace of life you’re afte, a rush of adrenaline, get on your bike and get cycling, run, hike, climb. Not enough? Canoe some of the best water in the UK on the River Dart, take in the moor on horseback and challenge yourself.

For the Grown Ups

Torquay is part of the stunning English Riviera. Torquay’s wonderful beaches are a must visit, and are linked to the South West Coast Path so are great for stopping off after a cycle around the local area.

Dartmouth is a lively, colourful seaside town. One of the smartest in England. Narrow streets house boutique shops, art galleries and delicatessens. Farmers’ markets supply the local gourmet restaurants, pubs and cafes.  Sweet shops sell the most delicious fudge.

South Devon is a mecca for yachts and sailing. Charter a yacht for the day, take a picnic and explore the beautiful coastline.

You’ll find some real hidden gems when it comes to eating out in Babbacombe Bay. Discover tucked away fishermen’s inns serving gastropub food and real ales, or try our traditional hotels along Babbacombe Downs offering up freshly caught fish and seafood specialities
