Renovate your spirit and reconnect with what matters at Lakeland’s Fell Cottage. That could be loved ones – or it could be the Eden Valley views, the vaulted ceilings, oak floors and garden suites. We’ll forgive you.
Renovate your spirit
Reconnect with everything that matters at restored Fell Cottage on the Blencowe Estate. That could be family and friends, but you’ll be forgiven for falling for the cathedral kitchen, the oak-floored entrance hall and suites that open onto the terrace and gardens.
Lakeland Fell Cottage will renovate your spirit, too. Beneath soaring ceilings sit cast-iron fires, oak floors and staircase, underfloor heating and a breakfasting kitchen fit for a king. Ground-floor en-suite bedrooms open onto majestic gardens. Set a table beneath the skies, clink your glasses and eat for England.
Wifi and satellite TV signals waft through the property; the soundtrack comes from the iPod dock. Summon freshly cooked meals delivered to your door by one of our recommended private caterers or cook up a storm on the Britannia-range ovens and gas hob. After a day on the fells, sleep the sleep of your life in deep-sprung beds, then wake to bacon and eggs, and more rambling and roaming.
When the sun bursts through the clouds, fire up the barbie and toast the Eden Valley fells. Walk to magnificent Greystoke Castle, or take the path to the Crown Inn pub. Fell Cottage is made for chilling and pottering.
Fish for trout along the river, shoot clay in the grounds, take your bike along the C2C route through Blencowe village. Walk to Aira Force waterfall, press on up Gowbarrow Fell, then revive in the tea shop. Jump the Settle-Carlisle railway, or slip back in time at Shap Abbey and Appleby Castle. Do it all beneath the wonder of big, welcoming skies.
