Lobster-pot light fittings, surfboard art, coral and shellfish ornaments, and tropical wallprints bring the briny into light, bright spaces designed to lift the spirits and chill the pace.
Bring the generations and a couple of dogs, or just the hens, together in the main living space with its comfy sofas and seaside artefacts. Put your feet up with a Nespresso or Prosecco and stream movies on the smart TV over Netflix, Amazon Prime or Now TV. Blast tunes on the Bluetooth, break out the board games, destroy the welcome hamper.
Cooking and dining
The kitchen’s delicious, as will be the output that flows from its electric fan oven and induction hob. But if you’d rather be on the beach, bring in the foodie experts from The Little Kitchen Company or Yhangry for a barbie, a one-off slap-up supper or a fully catered break.
Stock up the fridge/freezer with goodies from Tesco, Le Petit Prince patisserie, Peter Treble butcher’s and Parkstone Fisheries. Grab a nice bottle of fizz from MY Wines and get around the 12-seat dining table with a view of the garden – or sit out there in the southern sunshine with your steaks searing on the coal barbecue.
Keep the tummy rumbles at bay with takeaways from Pizza Express, Five Guys and Indi’s, for tikka, tandooris and all things Indian. For the best in local seafood, head out to Rick Stein’s in Sandbanks with a side order of harbour views. Or pub it at The Four Horsemen with good food washed down with your choice of over 100 ales and ciders.
Set yourself up for the day with a dirty breakfast butty, paradise pancake or bottomless brunch at The Cosy Club. Sample seasonal menus at the AA Rosette-awarded Arbor. Or go Italian at Pinocchio Ristorante or at El Murrino, with its wood-fired oven and hand-stretched pizzas.
Bedrooms
The five bedrooms here, sleeping up to 14, are just as pastel-pretty as the rest of the place. And with four beautiful bathrooms on offer, you’ll never be caught short for a shower.
On the first floor, bedroom one is ideal for families, with a kingsize bed, a bunk and en-suite bathroom. Bedroom two offers a kingsize with en-suite shower room and will take a z-bed.
On floor two, bedroom three offers a kingsize with en-suite shower room and space for a z-bed, while bedrooms four and five provide kingsize beds and share a family bathroom.
