Knoll Beach, just a few minutes walk from the house, is a sandy beach with a gradual slope into the sea, ideal for children.  This is the most popular of the Studland beaches with good facilities and watersports hire.

The Studland Peninsula on which Studland Bay House sits is a nature reserve of sand dunes and heath. The sandy beaches stretch for three miles from South Haven, where the Sandbanks ferry arrives, to Old Harry Rocks.
