Living spaces
Big celebrations with everyone who matters call for big spaces. You’ll get 18 in Cornflower Cottage’s bedrooms but there’s also plenty of space in the living room for you all to get together to crack open the fizz, pile on the sofas and bring out the banter.
Your group entertainment’s sorted with the 50″ smart TV. Flick through Netflix and Amazon Prime Video for box sets or movies to oil the wheels of your evening. Belt out some holiday beats over the Bluetooth speaker and post your pics to Instagram over the Vodafone Wi-Fi.
Cooking and dining
Cook on two fan ovens, take your croissants and coffee around the breakfast bar and eat in the dining room with French doors out onto the patio and hot tub. You’ve extra dining space in the utility room. Load up the American-style fridge/freezer from handy local supermarkets.
Prefer the hot tub to the hot stove? Call up our chefs for everything from a one-off celebration to a fully catered break. They’ll even drop everything in the dishwasher when they’re done. Need takeaway treats? Consider Pizza Gogo or Oldfield’s fish and chips (and cooked chickens).
Enjoy classic British menus with a twist at The Cross House in Doynton, such as ale-battered haddock and chunky chips, or pan-fried local calves’ liver with bubble and squeak. Or try cider, saffron and bacon mussels or maple-glazed bacon ciabatta at The Hollybush Inn.
Get your lips around the hand-pressed burgers, Korean chicken or sea bass at the Rose and Crown in Wick. Go Greek at Opa Meze in Bath, with gourmet chicken gyros, Santorini braised pork or kokkinisto. Enjoy Thai dining in The Giggling Squid. Or treat yourself to a roast in a choice of fabulous locations with Hall and Woodhouse.
Bedrooms
Here on the Cotswold Way, the only disruption to your night will be the gentle wind over the crops in the field or the quiet fizz of the hot tub. Cornflower Cottage sleeps 18 in five bedrooms, with and en-suite shower and a shared bathroom, so nobody misses out.
Bedroom one is a monster en-suite dorm-style room with eight single beds, while bedroom two contains one super-king bed. Bedroom three provides a kingsize bed, bedroom four sleeps four in two king-sizes, and bedroom five offers a bunk bed.
