Acres of idyllic charm

In Constable country, the artist would endorse the vaulted ceiling, the exposed beams and the two acres of bucolic charm. You’ll approve of the baronial dining, the country kitchen, the drinks on the terrace and the crackling woodburner that keeps the family fires burning.

Good enough to commit to canvas

The scenery seems plucked from Constable. But other parts of High Barn in deepest Suffolk are modern classics: the hot tub to lounge and laze, the satellite TV for family movies, the wifi for keeping in touch, and the crackling woodburner for evenings of long drinks and happy chatter.

If Constable could somehow drop by, though, he’d approve of the vaulted ceilings, the inglenook fireplace and the exposed beams. Even the two acres of grounds seem to be a tribute to the rural pastures that he captured on canvas. Today, though, you’ll probably prefer to pop a cork on the patio rather than paint the landscape.

You’ll also love the baronial dining room, with catering care of our talented chefs, should you wish. Bedrooms are as charismatic and comfortable as you’d expect, with en-suites, rolltop baths and galleried extravagance.

Outside, the hot tub’s bubbling, the sun is out and the barbecue is ready. As it sizzles, the kids can shoot some pool in the games room or play ping-pong on the patio. High Barn is made for making memories. Maybe you’ll even be inspired to commit them to canvas, Constable-style.
