Tackle a challenging golf course that’s a good test for all levels of player, with greens built to USGA standard, at Cannington. Or explore the highways and byways on two wheels with On Your Bike.

Pick from a range of stunning walks, including The Coleridge Way, a 36-mile linear walk, The Southwest Coast Path (refuel in The Hood Arms), or any number of treks across the nearby Quantock Hills. Or support The National Trust with trips to Dunster Castle, Fyne Court, Montacute House and the Walled Gardens of Cannington.

Spot interesting wildlife at WWT Steart Marshes. Enjoy the views from the top of Burrow Mump. Take a tour and a tipple at Oakley Vineyard. Sip Somerset cider on tap in the orchard and gardens at Perry’s Cider Farm. Or come in November for the Bridgwater Carnival, the largest illuminated carnival in Europe.
